I'm going to take a sober Republican stand here. They would have to take a federal stance on this issue, while violating the first amendment they are changing.
Yeah....I'm no law student, but I know fraud when I see it.
The Defense of Marriage act has no constitutional authority because you can not violate the constitution while amending it. They would have to pass it though a right wing congress that ignores the constitution and become Dictator for it to stand. Come on, its just ridiculous.

How about rachel maddow, and the rest of the white gays,go ahead and draft u a "white progressive" to primary obama, since u have such a problem with a black man being against gay marriage. here u have plenty of GOP presidential candidates constantly speaking out against gays, but u always gotta target the black man. So just save urself some time and just draft a white man!!!

Obama's flip flopping on this issue is driving me crazy.

"I don't take a stand on the issue... I simply pointed out that the majority of the human beings on this planet... define marriage as being a union between a man and a women."
I in no way have misread your comment. Even if the main focus was to demonstrate that people, regardless of political affiliation, agree that marriage should be between a man and a woman exclusively, the underlying implication is that those whom disagree are outside normality and, therefore, somewhat incorrect.

@robin2765 That's right Robin you hit the nail on the head. Its not about what society sees as the norm its about everyone having equal rights.

@coreygames If you read my comment carefully, I don't take a stand on the issue... My point was a political one... Look at the thread of this video. The comments are mostly anti Christian and anti conservative. I simply pointed out that the majority of the human beings on this planet, whether they be Muslim, Jewish, Christian or [add religion here], Democrat, Republican or Independent define marriage as being a union between a man and a women...

Your point being that because the majority of people believe something, therefore it is undeniably correct, or am I mistaking your stance on this? If that is truly what you believe, then how did we ever make social progress in the past when everyone believed that women were inferior, that humans could be belongings to other humans? If majority opinion is law, then how do we advance scientifically when new evidence proves us all wrong as it was with the flat and geocentric Earth?

The majority of human beings on this PLANET (not just conservatives) define marriage as a union between a man and a women.. Even the extreme leftist Obama feels the same way......

@RamanaViverit what, coated to Glenn beck and bill O'Reilly? Compared to them she is a rational calm breath of fresh air, whatever your political leaning she is much more professional and well spoken...
I am a conservative person and yes I am a christian. The gay lifestyle doesn't work for me. I never was attracted to another woman romantically. I cringe a bit at the words"gay marriage" i admit. However, this should not be a matter of a person's religious beliefs. It should be a federal law, not state by state because really a person's equal rights should be across the board in the whole of our country. gay doesn't mean you are attracted to kids. Most peds are sicko straights i believe.
