Peter Florance Voodoo pickups rs guitarworks harness1989 Fender Stratocaster, Weber 18 watt with Alnico and Sozo caps, and one swaptronics Fuzz Clone from Ebay. After hearing it I realize I need more quality time with a metronome. Swaptronics has good quality for cheap, actually prefer this to my $200 fuzz pedal. These tone demos are in the "style" of the artist referenced and are in no way intended to be reproductions of their copyrighted work.

  • Hi there,

Very good tone and great playing!

I am after the Dark side of the moon sound, would you recommend this?

    Thanks

    Eric

  • @yydmzkz09 According to Gilmourishdotcom David Gilmour DOES use the BC108 type device. The real aspect of the tone is a mix of several different things the amp, tubes, guitar, pickups, maple or rosewood, lot's of stuff. He did use BC108 device though. And Dave at swaptronics builds great little units Cheap. Gilmour also used an amazing strat for those sessions.

  • Saw this, went to ebay and bought this, now waiting, never heard a fuzz so close to JH before... (and I have an 18watt amp, which is just as great as everyone says!)

What speakers are in this Weber amp?

  • @milsiknuff This has the Weber SIlver Bell Alnico, I am pretty sure there is no dope around the speaker surround. At high volumes it compresses a lot, but there is a rich 3d quality. I will say the amp had a mediocre set of tubes at the time. Since then I put in fresh mullard el84 reissues, and a real life mullard ez81 from ebay, if you get the chance the vintage ez81 rectifier its a great cheap upgrade, real vintage el84 are really expensive and too similar to reissue for the money.

  • how does one go about getting one of these?

  • @koolami268 If I were you, I'd goto ebay. Goto guitar, effect pedals, clone, fuzz, swaptronics should be offered there and they are usually quite affordable. Good luck

  • I have this pedal ($40 in the Bay Area from a nice guy who had to sell it)

I use this with a 1958 Vibrolux Clone with a 10" Tone Tubby.

This video flirts with Gilmour Tones and Jimmy H Tones -- I tend to dial it down to 9 O'clock and your find a little Exile on Main street ....

Quiet - Seems like a true by pass and WOW it has several voices and takes a tweed amp and a Telecaster / Stratocaster into new places...

  • killer tone

  • i'm selling one on eBay right now.... cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270593479378&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_500wt_1154
