According to this interview:

- you can't wind-down a country. Well....only time will tell, perhaps not Greece, but the US?!
- Greek only comprises 2% of the EU economy and therefore its financial cluster!@#! will be limited in impact (it will be interesting to see what happens on the streets of Athens when $6.5 billion in cuts is announced tomorrow)
- the playback of crises is to monetize the debt and have the Germans pay for everyone's corruption and decadence - KFW? European Central bank?
- The problem has been COUNTRIES HAVE HAD ACCESS TO CHEAP MONEY FOR TOO LONG. Agreed.
- at least Europe is talking about CUTTING spending. Whats going on in the US and Canada?!?! Deficit spending and money printing!
- If you want to see what will happen to the US, watch the UK. Indeed...should be good entertainment value.
- The UK is a much bigger story (perhaps again euphamistic for economic cluster@!#!) than Greece is.

I like forward to watch that story develop.

  • @111RobinHood Sadly UK government is very strong and interferes with all aspects of our lives. The people are mostly indoctrinated to believe in government and that it is easier to allow government to take care of everything. Trust me, we have it backwards here. Less or no government would be far better but our general population are utterly blind to the idea.

As for the economy, the only way out is for the leaders of the world to fudge the books.... So, business as usual!

  • the bankers caused most the the problems in the UK by gambling with money from ordinary hard working people..yet they still give themselves massive bonuses despite already having well paid jobs and ruining other peoples lives..we should have a day where millions of people take out thier savings out of protest so these pigs dont have so much food in the troff and maybe get the message that weve had enough of thier greed

  • UK = 5th Largest Economy

Your comparing it to Greece? I mean the UK DOES have problems but it's not worse than Greece, and I'll surely get back in the game

  • @frostyuk2007 "Sadly UK government is very strong and..."

We have to stop blaming governments and start looking out our own crimes if we want this nonsense to end. So long as people continue to work for this system and pay tax thus funding their governments, then the orwellian nightmare will go on, assuming we dont self destruct. No one is forcing you to work and pay tax. You can live off the land if you have the courage to try. I am.

  • IMF came to the city (UK) recently. One porky pie in report. Greece and USA on major crisis on default on their debt. Financial Ombudsman Service now Breaking the Law. MEP states FOS are not professional. Financial Services Authority have failed regulating the banks (stated by HM Treasury ). Spain now needing about 230 Billion bailout, followed with Italy seriously in trouble. Northern Rock up for sale, UK Bank with dud mortgages. UK are ring fencing investment / retail from further loses.

  • Doesn't look like the 'global free market' aka 'let the corporations do whatever they like' worked out that well. Ironic: now even the public sector is busy implementing 'free market' mechanisms! The guys in charge are supposed to be intelligent ie they can use observations to make rational decisions. Maybe not so clever?

  • @logelamutp still germany is nothing in the world scene, without EU its not worth a penny

  • @logelamutp also the largest, so you would expect it to be.

  • germany the greatest, richest and powerful in europe

  • wait till one of the bigger EU countries fall, see how fast it comes down. the Euro and Pound are taking a beating. I'm thinking France will be the first to blink. they had Social labor party leaders for years, give entitlements like there was no tomorrow, so you would keep voting for them. never thinking were the hell the money was coming from, to pay for it all!

We have over capacity, rising unemployment, deflation, etc.. You can burn the books, nobody remembers which lie they told anymore.

  • There is a clearcut winner of the UK elections: the queen. UK has very strong, stable government because royalty have been ruling the place for hundreds of years. When people vote, they are given ILLUSION of choice, but the queen decides. Elections are just there to avoid revolution. Queen has decided to sell some of the herd for slaughter, methinks
