RDM/NIN solo Alky

So I'm no Avesta, but I still pwn Alky solo. Only rough part was when protect and shell wore off mid fight.

Yay fellow PS2 player! youre probably one of the few people that plays like me not using macros just the spell list great job!

Woot! Thank you. I hate using macros unless I'm changing equipment. If you know where your spells are in the list it's so much easier to select them that way.

I don't use macros when fighting normal stuff. I only have macros for dynamis or other events when I'm only casting a select set of spells. Or when I need to change equip fast.

I agree. Aside from gearswaps menus is the way to go. I've seen enough videos where people make mistakes on fights because they mismacroed and I've memorized my spell list anyways.

@r565687 I seriously love comments like this, I really do. macros do not a skilled player make. Nor are they the end all be all. I only use macros myself for Gear swaps and Job abilities. Stuff I just can't do normally. Other than that, I pretty much cast every single spell manually (Read: Spell Scrolling) and I do just fine.

might be 7 months later but yes i agree i know the timing of my spells and where they are in my list as well that makes using menu a whole lot faster i just use macro to switch gear

I use a controller so using ctrl and alt is out of the question. I have to hold down the shoulder buttons and press left and right through the bar to hit a macro. That's the reason I just use the menu.

not really; if you memorize where your macros are and switch between ctrl and alt you can open it faster and if you're using the macro on the line that you're already on or just use one line anyways you don't have to open it at all (which imho is better at LEAST for gear swaps

Using the menu is so much more precise.. it takes a sec for the macro bar to show up, if youve planned out everything you can just use the menu o_o;
