I first heard this on the radio in Atlanta back in 1995. I'd just moved there and knew almost nobody. This song hit me so hard, I just had to know who it was and where I could hear more of these amazing songs.
Two years later, I saw Elliot in a small club in ATL. He was a rising star by then, but still seemed in his own world. Two years later, I saw him again, playing in front of 3000 people. They must have been hit hard too.
He left us too soon.
