National Poetry Slam preview

St. Paul's Soap Boxing slam poetry team won all the marbles in 2009, topping about 70 other teams from around North America to win the National Poetry Slam. Now St. Paul is defending that title on its home turf -- the 2010 National Poetry Slam happens Aug. 3-7 at various venues in downtown and Lowertown St. Paul. 3-Minute Egg met up last week with the St. Paul poets and those from the two Minneapolis teams competing at Nationals when they gave the public a preview of their talents as part of the Walker Art Center's Open Field.
