God! she is inspiring
One the very few directors in hollywood/bollywood who is genuinely unpretentious and serious about portraying life as it is and have the intelligence to not make such cinematographic attempts look ugly

I can't find any clips of Mississippi Masala on Youtube. That's the only one of 'her,' films that i've seen and i love it. I love Sarita Choudhury too.

It's a common misconception that Mira Nair is part of Bollywood in any way, just like to point out that while she does draw some of her cinematic techniques from the Bollywood industry as a whole she is an independent film director. she is much more attached to Hollywood and western cinema as a grouping. My apologies if this comes across as pretentious.
