Getting the word out on a procedure at Duke University for children with Cerebral Palsy that have banked their own cord blood at birth. I belive that all types of research should continue to offer cures to those in need. This procedure is a good start helping many other childeren to date as a result. If you are a parent of a child with brain injury and that child had cord blood banked at birth, please leave a message for me and I'll point you in the right direction for help. - Mary Schneider

  • Hi Mary,

Good for you. My name is Joe Andrews and I'm the oldest person in the world- to my knowledge-to have a procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy. So seeing your video has peaked my curiousity. I don't know if stem cell treatment would be applicable to me, but it's always interesting to see something besides orthopaedic procedures. I had two as a child and they are brutal and don't address the issue of spasticity like the SDR surgery does. Anyway, keep up the good work!!

    Joe

  • WAY TO GO, MARY! Well done! I am so proud of you and your family.

    Love, Lolly
