Ingredients: Garam masala, Cumin, Cayenne pepper, Curry powder, Salt, Butter, Oil, Onion, Tomato, Ginger, Garlic, Chick peas (Garbonzo Beans), Yogurt, and if needed sugar. Optional cilantro.
Add oil and butter to pan and place on heat. While waiting for your pan to get hot mix up your spice mixture: Garam masala, Cumin, cayenne pepper, Curry powder and Salt. When pan is hot add onion and sauté until just starting to turn brown. Add ginger, garlic and spice mixture after a minute or two add tomatoes. Lower heat and cook until this is paste like then add chick peas, and yogurt. Cook until sauce is thick. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. If desired add cilantro leaves. Serve over rice or with bread.
