AVP2 is better hands down. It delivered a complete sense of ALIENation (chuckle, chuckle), likable characters, and an intelligent plot that we've come to expect from Monolith. AVP3 attempted to replicate all of those, but achieved the exact opposite results. AVP2 felt like it was adding to all of Alien and Predator movies, while AVP3 felt like it was recycling recent AvP movies. Running from the Alien hive in AVP2 is still one of the best adrenaline rides you'll ever find in a video game.

This game proves graphics arent everything. While I really did enjoy the graphics of this game, the gameplay of AvP2 was superior and alot more fun.

Avp2 by a long shot! Sure Avp 3 has brilliant graphics but so what, it's a boring game in comparison to it's predecessor. It's also too short, and the storyline in 2 was way more engaging; better yet it actually felt like it was continuing from the films. From the moment I started playing it I felt like I was in the film Aliens! Being the predator was cool too they did a good job capturing it's design from the predator film more so than avp3.

The best part about AVP2 was the worst part about AVP3 the aliens had classes like the drone which was the balanced one the runner which was crazy fast the predalien which was crazy strong hell you could even turn into a pretorian if you got a kill streak but in avp3 its the drone with slightly different skins

@kakoroto - I hear that. It took me forever to open those doors; I knew there was going to be a shit ton of aliens waiting. It was the first time a video game gave me a good scare. In this video, the music that starts at 0:17 is the definitive "Get the fuck out of here ASAP" music, because it ALWAYS played when Aliens were around. Ah, Monolith, may you forever churn out gems. And for all the people saying "man, just a video game": why play it then if not to experience the ride it offers?

Also in Avp3 I find the aliens slightly harder to kill due to better AI and them being more durable.
