@Xxryebread2511xX agreed! all about the drummer preference

yo among drummers you really shouldnt hate the way other people play or have their kits setup. Just because you think something sounds bad or someone is not playing the right way does not mean it doesn't sound good for them or their set up doesn't work for them. The only bad playing style or setup is the one can cause damage the the player (eg muscle problems) or to the people around them

This is an awkward thing to say, but you remind me of engineer from TF2
-
@dionf23 I have that problem when my band practices cos when ever they play my snare rattles like crazy and I have tightened it as tight as it will go but it still does it
-
I play everything flat with my cymbals low. Just feels most comfortable to me.

COREY TAYLOR!

@heymynameisshane I doesn't annoy me... even if it looks wanky as hell. I just feel sorry for them because they have to fork out more money on the drum heads they're going through. Flat stick allows better resonance from the toms as well, as it enlarges ever so slightly the point of impact and shortens impact time on the head. Science of drums = success in getting a good sound out of any kit anywhere anyday. :)

Great vid!

I just figured out how to use the "flatstick" setup with my Tama Imperialstar kit

i say 'cockpit' setup is for those old skool heavy metal drummers.
And i agree how ppl should think 'economically'
i.e. i prefer using a very 'minimalist' kit.
What hi-hat drop clutch is that? please reply.

@BandaDK That is a DW clutch. Still use it! Love it!

I've the same setup as you. I HATE the cockpit setup. I also hate the some drummers just get stuff they barely use just to look cool.
