is there two parts? cause i'm sure he uses a slide and open tuning for some of this song as well?

I gotta chime in here - this is pretty much a different song than the way Dan plays it. You can't play in different tunings. If you're really interested in this song then spend the time to learn it in open G. You'll see how much better you sound. You're kinda wasting time playing it in standard tuning.

I like it. I agree with the others that it is supposed to be played in open G, but I like your lesson nonetheless.

Dude just stop sending wrong info to people watch Dan play it then try to teach
-
@nopxah dude you should play this in open g tuning.(DGDGBd)
-
@Rockislivin no problem man
-
You can play it this way if you are lazy to tune down , but the real way is drop g tuning

Awesome! Thank you for sharing the knowlege. It's so much easier than it looks on paper. You're the man.
Bah. Youre off on one note there and it bugs the crap out of me. K lets see if I can figure this out. Its the last note of the first phrase. You go down to the B string (5th fret) and then play the last note on the G string ( 7th Fret) and I'm pretty sure that last note is supposed to be the 5th fret not the 7th. Sounds like 100x better. That is if youre reasonably good at rolling. Let me know what you think.
