@tfrazee1 : I use henna (Jamila). It does not really matter which kind of products you use, the secret is to handle the hair carefully and have patience. I recommend that you look into one of the hair forums for a wealth of information on the subject of growing hair.

I'm guessing you need to be close to classic length to have a good tail. At my length, I think I can do the knot, but there's no tail left to play with!
