Heartbeat Filming

I videoed this clip showing the filming of Heartbeat featuring Tricia Penrose(Gina)and Nikki Sanderson (Dawn) outside the Goathland Hotel (Aidensfield Arms). Nikki Sanderson previously played the part of Candice in Coronation Street. This was filmed on 20th May 2008 and the actual episode of Heartbeat was shown on UK TV on October 12th 2008

Filming of Heartbeat usually took place in Goathland about every 2-3 weeks,the final filming was completed on 8th May. At the moment the village is just getting used to not having the film crews around. I spoke to some of the actors and film crew at the final filming and they all told me that ITV have still only said that production of Heartbeat is suspended not axed. Feeling in the village though is that the film crews will not be returning for some considerable time, if ever.

Today (9th March 2009) They were filming Heartbeat in Goathland. A film crew member told me he will be made redundant when production ends in May. During a break in filming, actor David Lonsdale recorded an interview, he said he was very grateful to Heartbeat and the long term security it has provided for him. He went on to say that although he was very disappointed that Heartbeat is coming to an end, he will now move on. Very sad.

Goodbye to Heartbeat, the tv-series is no more. I really enjoyed the first 10 season, after that I think it started to change too much to what I used love about it. After the 14/15 season I wasn't really that keen on Heartbeat anymore. I'm glad I still have the old classic on tape though, those where the best ever !! - Anyway thanks for a good run and a lot of enjoyable tv-episodes!

Gram1960 how is it now when they no longer are filiming in Goathland after all those years with HB?

I've found out the episode is going to be called "Family Matters" and its known to premiere 12th October 2008. I can't wait.
