On Novermber 1, 2008 the Discovery Science Center and the Federation for American Scientists and Engineers hosted the first annual Pumpkin Launch at CSU Fullerton. 7 Teams competed and built catapults, trebuchets, and even a cannon to launch pumpkins at targets. This video gives an overview of the competition, and highlights the Booz Allen Hamilton created catapult.

Fun event. The cannon put its first shot way past the targets, up by the scoreboard.

I'm afraid you mixed up the CSUF Civil and Mechanical teams. Team SAE is Mechanical.
