See One

A video installation created for The Living Art Exhibition at the Red Bull Space in SoHo.

Ten artists (who paint regularly with the ArtBattles collective) were documented over five days to create time-lapse footage condensing approximately 60 hours of painting into a little more than 6 minutes.

Though the aesthetic emulates the popular movement of time-lapse screen captures showing Photoshop, Illustrator and MSPaint mavens doing their thing, this stands apart technically for being entirely paints on canvas - and triggered manually.

During a number of the weekly ArtBattles study groups The Avalanches was often played for ambience. The music featured here is "Since I Left You" and "Stay Another Season"
