Jamaican muslims wary of Faisal's activities

As it turns out many who participated in the protests know nothing about the cleric they were demonstrating in support of Abdullah al Faisal the Jamaican born cleric has been linked with terror related activities including the 7/7 attacks in London. But as Robert Nagila reports, once again the government was reacting to a situation having failed to prevent it.

prior to the late 1970s kenya had a traditional islam led locally and had existed in harmony with other kenyans.  the late chief kadhi abdullah farsi warned about the wave of wahhabism, a political ideology coming from saudi arabia and egypt in particular. this is the origin of extremism around the world.

NTV needs to explain this phenomenon broadly as a few incidents here or there is not sufficient to educate the public.

I'm Jamaican and let me say this man is not welcome here. Jamaica is 95% Christian and he knows that if he preaches that shut Here he would get gun shot. There are only around 2000 Muslims in Jamaica out of a population of 2.8 million ppl. Out of those 2000 Muslims the majority of them are foreigners so they can be deported anytime so alot them stay far from that cleric.
