Flying is something we take for granted but all those business trips and holidays are contributing to global warming. This film looks at the new laws being put forward by the EU to cut the amount of CO2 produced by air travel and hears what scientists and those involved in the flying business have to say.

@PyroMancer2k but companies will be forced to put in their budget the amount of carbon they produce. they now have to pay for it you see? and now a company when faced upon the choice between two tecnologies, the less carbon emiting has become more profitable, there is now a serious economic reason to buy that less polutant tecnology.

Wow yet another stupid plan to "save the planet" that doesn't do anything. Carbon trading system doesn't work! And here is why.

One company produces under it's allowed amount and so it sells the extra amount to a company that produces over it's allowed amount. So what happen to TOTAL? NOTHING! Thanks to this system people actually make new companies and simply sell off the allowed carbon credits to their company to other heavy polluting companies so again nothing changes except who gets paid.

Why TRUST liars ?

1.There are no plans for a European superstate or army.

2.There are no plans to take British & French naval bases under EU control.

3.Galileo is for civilian use only.

4.Lisbon is not comparable to the Constitution.

5.There is (was) `no plan B if the Irish reject Lisbon´.

6.The (un-elected) commission repects the Irish vote.

7.The storing of e-mails & phone calls is a commercial matter only.

Thanks to the EU ban on smoking in trains...I have stopped using them for long journeys and fly instead (yes, I know I could give up,...but this decision is mine and not the EU's).

The faster the train the more energy it needs. High speed trains do not save enough CO2. How about a slower pace of travel (life, too). More time for watching the countryside pass, less hurry, less stress, less CO2.
