This is a G1/HTC Dream booting Android normally. Then it restarts and Home is held which makes it boot into NATIVE Debian. This is not my video but I am trying to do sometthing similar with either Debian or OpenMoko which then lets me use Debian/Gnome/Android. I am currently using Debian on MY G1 except it is installed using the method below. (Its very slow and cant run aircrack)
I would really want an option where you boot into recovery (Holding Home) and there is a menu where you can choose to boot into a normal recovery (Amon_Ra's) and the other options would let you choose between what OS you want to boot into like Gnome,OpenMoko,Debian. A normal boot would take you back to android. This is an achievable goal and one that i think would be very beneficial for android development. P.S as you can see no VNC soft is used so should work with Donut and higher builds.

  • It would be great. I don't like to run a Debian Java virtual machine on Android kernel. Native Debian on my T-Mobile G1 would be great!
