I don't really like your "food" selection, I mean... Sneakers? Really? Those do contain high amounts of calories indeed, but they are TRASH calories, you provably want something more nutritious than sneakers bars. Not only to keep you alive but to keep you healthy. I suggest you pack some granola bars instead and a small bottle with vitamins, specially vitamin C, it will prevent you from getting a cold.

Hey yankee,I like your bag set up but the first thing I noticed was the fact that your duct tape (hell yeah duct tape!) match container and whistle were still in the cardboard package. It would make the pack a bit less bulky if you got rid of some of the packaging.

Good video and content. It would have been better to put the text below the video as it detracts from the film. An excellent trail food is mixed fruit & nuts. I like the flares, excellent idea and the radio. Well done.

Other than that I like your choices. I'd swap in some super duper protein bars in place of some food. They last longer and provide more nutrition. They also taste like crap so you wont be tempted to scarf them too soon.

I would not carry a loose pistol in a bag, even unloaded. Always keep it in the holster and keep it on your body if the ammo is also easily accessible. Some kid gets a hold of that and you are in deep trouble. I also wouldnt keep loose ammo. Get some spare mags and fill them up. Nothing loose.

Personally i feel there is a lot of stuff in this bag that i wouldn't use in a survival situation. I would probably take: food, water, a knife (and axe possibly), a gun if i really felt it necessary, a fire lighting kit, a tarp/tent, parachord, first aid kit, and i signalling kit and something to keep you warm. All this at a push. Just a helpful list of items i feel would be the essentials. This way you could last longer than a few days, more than a week or so. hope i helped.
I'm not sure why you said K-bar knives aren't the best knives?

@firefightin6 Because they are not. I have owned much better knives.
