@Aquariousi Not just the emulator systems, but REX also had the close range combat abilities added by Otacon w/out permission back in MGS1, something which RAY was not designed to be able to counter since nobody but Otacon knew the REX was programmed with software to enable it.

Guess the emulator Otacon put onto REX to make it more functionable made it superior to RAY in the end.

Very nice I did a better one I was on normal normal
And used mussels right away 2 sets than m gun. Hit x x to slide up to him and cqc his ass till he stopes than missil mussel again slide up and cqc his ass again and again flawless he dident even get a chance to go I'n water or move to other side of area I was amazed did it under 2 min. Omg. Good show man I'm prowed. Got camo beat all modes but extream going for no alerts

That's what I've always loved about Rex, it was always the "good" metal gear, designed by a man with good intentions, and in the right hands it's deadly, shame Snake couldn't take it home with him and have the words most awesome ice cream van.

Snake piloting MG-REX is one of the landmark moments in video game history...a weapon used for evil now used for justice...and you gotta love the symbolism Kojima used here..'an old beaten up REX' was able to defeat RAY, like 'an old beaten up Snake' was able to defeat Liquid...
