Featuring Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree playing an AlumiSonic Ultra 1100 Aluminum Guitar on Wedding Nails and Prodigal during the 2008 European tour. Currently Porcupine Tree has 3 AlumiSonic guitars of which 2 were used in the recording of their recent album "The Incident", which (in September 2009) peaked at #7 on the Billboard Best Rock Album charts and #25 on the Billboard 200 charts. AlumiSonic is credited on the new album on the equipment list. Steven Wilson is also using an AlumiSonic 1100 Custom with a Kahler USA cam Tremolo for the current 2009 world tour for some select songs per show.
As a progressive band, Porcupine Tree is well known for incorporating a broad spectrum of sounds into their music, including Heavy Metal, Classic Progressive Rock, Ambient, new age and more.
