  • Did you really have to show the spider. Now my girlfriends not gonna want to go, but other than that cool video...

  • Hi, thanks! And by the way, that was a fake spider, so you can tell your girlfriends not to worry. It's a great place worth checking out and I'm sure you will all love it! Enjoy!

  • Right on cockfight420!

  • Rudedog, haven't you posted on soakersforum before? Anyway, yes, there was a fire at 5 palms, but it's slowly recovering and is still a decent soak. Once the Imperial Valley weather cools, it'll be time for more soaking out there.Glad you enjoyed the video!

  • kimboy, where are these , Im out there alot , ive never heard of them. are the close to the slabs, bombay beach, south of niland?

  • @sean57 The Slabs Hot Springs is literally at the Slabs up by Niland. Look for the concrete cylinders on the right side of the road before you get to Salvation mounain. Five Palms hot springs is east of Brawley off of SR-78. Pass Highline Canal. Drive south on Whitlock for a couple miles, then head left just past the gravel quarry. Holtville Highline HS is at the corner of I-8 and Van Der Linden. Enjoy!

  • hey kim catcher from soakers forum thanks for all the tips and advice.

  • That was a very cool video! I like going out and exploring places like that but never been out to them parts.

I remember reading about some springs out that way where the palms had cot fire. I think there was even some pictures of the springs looking pretty sad! Looked like a mud puddle surounded by burnt trees. How sad!

  • I've bathed several times in that concrete box. The water isn't cold or hot, it's just perfect! I also partially explored that sewer pipe inside there too. It's kinda scary in there. My parents and friends bathed in that hot spring in Slab City, it was way too hot for me! I thought it was at dangerous temperatures. That's pretty cool that you went there. Do you stay in Slab City often? I do.

  • Yes, it's well worth a visit!
