  • He said "Incidentally I've never understood the conflict between abstraction and naturalism. Since all paintings are inherently abstract to begin with, there doesn't really seem to be an argument there. On another subject . . . "

    Not entirely bullshit. It takes a few seconds to look at a painting or a drawing, then you move on.

    But it takes days to think up an idea that will make the average guy look at the drawing once and do a double take.

    I'll agree that there's some bullshit involved. Some people refuse to learn the hard stuff. For instance, perspective or anatomy. What do they do? They slap a few dashes of paint on a canvas and call it art.. You can consider those guys top notch bullshitters.
