Introduction to debate lectures. Public Forum Debate course taught by Jonathan Wolfson at SciAcademy in New Orleans. In this video, Jonathan discusses impacts, the way every debater answers the question "why should I care about what you're talking about?" with particular focus on using impacts in public forum debate. Public Forum debates are the style of debate seen on television and all seek to persuade any audience. If you are to win a debate, you must identify strong arguments and ensure that your audience is finding your side most worth voting for on those strong key arguments in the debate round. This is one lecture in the free learning to debate series brought to you by TheGreatDebate. Stay tuned for more videos posted every week.
