This is a guide on using pitch wheel controllers in the piano roll view of SONAR 8 Producer edition. You can create or edit controllers such as modulation, velocity and many more in this way.

  • This made things a lot easier for me. I used to manually enter notes, move them to where I needed them and then enter manual values for the wheel. Not anymore!

  • Thanks! :)

  • thank you so much for this video. Didn't know how to draw a straight line in Sonar 8. Now I do!!

  • @robvk6 You can also push F4.

  • @dustypuppy I figured it out but thanks for getting back fast... great videos...

Compressing an audio track will make the loud parts quieter. This evens out the peaks and makes the whole track more uniform. To do this, right click in the FX bin of the audio track and select a compressor from the list.

See how to insert FX in the bin by watching @ the 2 minute mark in my video called "Sonar Fades and FX"

    good luck

  • @dustypuppy And how about compressing an audio track? What does that mean and how can you do that?

  • @Chicago10281

Open Sonar and highlight an audio track.

Go to File / Import / Audio to load an audio file into Sonar.

Or arm an audio track and record it live.

    I hope this helps
