  • what were u using for the golden trev at the start

keen to fish surface at night for them at sunny coast

  • @hammwaQLD Hi mate, I was using a Squidgy Fish from the Starlo and Bushy range of plastics. It was a 3inch in black which sat snug on 1/8 jig head. Be sure to purchase a jig head with a fairly robust hook attached to it, as Trevally in the larger size range are capable of making short work of the "softer" or finesse hooks. Also, keep your jig head weight to a minimum. Dying fish sink slowly. Keep your plastic in the zone for as long as possible.Less is definitely more!

  • i have seen ones twice that size in some spots in the tweed river

  • @Lambycapo Absolutely agree with you there. There are some huge fish that move through the Tweed, which I have also seen chopping away at balls of unlucky baitfish, and have hooked but been unable to land. I've posted a new video "Big fish on light tackle" that illustrates just that. Hope you enjoy it.

  • Great vid, tight lines ;)

  • What a great little compilation. I can see that you have a true passion for your sport and a desire to share that with others. A film crew and some sponsorship would be great right about now, although the raw truth behind your experiences is a comforting change to all the over dramatized crap that's produced these days.

Thanks for keeping it real , or should I say keeping it REEL.

    Well done Andy.
