  • NWA all the way. piss on wwf

  • "Oh, ya! well reprimand this!!!" This was a classic. It was excellent booking too. You can get the belt off Magnum without having him lose it....and make him a hero at the same time. It sets up the best of seven series for the Great American Bash. This is an example of how Jim Crockett Promotions was a great company and things could have turned out differently. Yes he made some big mistakes that forced him to sell to Ted Turner but he went down with all guns blazing.

  • loved this then love it now Bob Geigel looks so much like Bunson from the Muppets.

  • @MarTay555 The problem there is that Austin was shown to care at least about a select few babyfaces. He teamed up with Mick Foley as Dude Love to become tag champions with him. By 1999 he was a full fledged babyface openly helping other faces and acting like a good guy. Thus, you could go so far as to call 1997 and early 1998 the latter half of his tweener period that began in late 1996.

  • @CSAlmanac Firstly i apologize for using the word "moron", now that that is out of the way.I disagree that it WAS unique. Magnum T.A wasnt a full fledge anti hero neither was rhodes or even piper, that wasnt there "gimmick". Austins chracter was specifically marketed as him being an anti hero anti hero = cussing every five seconds, flipping people off, drinking beer, and not caring about the baby faces. all the other guys as soon as they became faces were no longer anti heros

  • @MarTay555 Not quite sure why you use the word moron. Austin may have done it on a grander scale, but there was nothing unique about what he was doing. It was just a recycling of a template that had been used before and then marketed like mad by McMahon while they lied about how it was brought about. The reality is Austin said something that got attention in 1996 and the fans latched onto it. From there, they let Austin book his gimmick himself and the rest was history. But it was not unique.

  • @CombatSportFan Moron lol..Austin simply did it better than any of those guys u mentioned, and im a fan of all of them. Austin did it better but more importantly did it on a much larger scale that was seen by way more people and was an updated version of the anti hero.

  • Magnum Vs Geigel, Wrestlemania 28, Miiiiiiiiaaaammmiiiiiii !!!!!

  • @CombatSportFan

and there guy guys that did it before all the guys you listed. Wrestling just goes round and round. Austin was also doing this in WCCW/USWA .

  • @songoku350

evidently Geigel takes a good punch then..
