@GodxOfxObelisk The hitbox in Gradius V is indeed very small. I think it only consists of the cockpit.

I bought this game off eBay (19.50 or so with S+H) just to see how small Vic Viper's death box is, because this guy seems to either be using a cheat code or it's box is needle-sized...wtf?!

Damn, this is really insane. Other shmups that I thought are just as difficult than Gradius V Loop 10 to 256 are Progear No Arashi, Darius Gaiden Super Hard Mode, and Thunder Force V Master Mode. But still, I liked this one better!

i truly miss this game, i 've been dying to play it for so long, when i used to own it i played it like it was my job! my save had over 500hours on it. Watching this makes me wanna get it again, I played this on hardest mode and it was fugging FANTASTIC!!!

What the HELL???? It was hard enough for me in normal mode. You made it look super easy. But of course the best and most talented video game players are from Japan.
