"The Los Angeles Horse Council was created to unite equine owners and equine related businesses in an effort to raise public awareness of the significant, positive, economic impact the Equestrian Industry has on Los Angeles, to highlight the many contributions the Equestrian Industry makes to the cultural heritage of Los Angeles, to improve public health and safety by increasing access to and awareness of equestrian activities including youth-at risk programs and to provide a unified voice for a broad range of equestrian concerns including; zoning, land use planning and the preservation of recreational and open space.
Los Angeles Horse Council has developed an Equestrian Bill of Rights which, when adopted, will serve to strengthen and protect the equestrian community, thereby ensuring its continued existence and economic viability."
