Thanks for your vote! This was my first real attempt at stop-motion animation and I learned a lot. There are definitely things that I would do differently next time, but I had a good time making it.

stop motion is lame. it's not creative. it's a parlor trick. hope this doesn't win. most of the other videos are much better. this one is painfully slow.

I'm puzzled by the idea that an entire category of expression can be "not creative". Please, elaborate.

I hear they announced the finalists today. Are you one? I think this is very well-made and clearly took a lot of time, but if you profit $10,000 using solely Lego figures, isn't that kind of problematic? LEGO recently launched a lawsuit against a small-time webmaster who ran a fan site because he ran google ad words and made a few bucks off their iconic figures/blocks.

Thanks for your comment. I contacted LEGO legal before embarking on this venture and they were OK with it, with certain conditions (disclaimer, no use of the logo, etc.). I knew it was going to take a long time, so I wanted to have my bases covered. I think a scholarship contest is (at least in their eyes) fundamentally different from advertising revenue.

And yes, it looks like I will be a finalist.
