The Khmer were builders and peaceful people, that was why they were so ill prepared in the attack by Siam. The Siamese were pretty much warlords that attacked Burma and neighboring countries. Bullies rather steal and fight than to do anything monumental like the Khmer in their building the Angkor Empire.

@Chetah01 the reason some temples were built with woods cuzz there wasn't any stones around and plust working with wood is alot easier and less time consuming and requires less labors. influence is base. the first technology is always not always as good as the later one. the thai have finally mastered and improved on the skills of building temples and thats why the later thai temples are better than the earlier khmer temple. the new house is always better than the old house.

@dianthusboy Can u tell me where khmer ppl come from?Can u tell me Japanese or Chinese created noodle? Can u accept Japanese based on Chinese?Can u tell me why European ppl use Roman alphabets?yep we knew already that it's adopted from roman in the pastbut do they have to accept it's based on Roman?No.there's no need.Cuz we know already where it came from.but calling based on and adopted or influence r different don't u Know?with ur little knowledge about who based on who r not make sense at all

@dianthusboy hahah Thai culture based on khmer cultureLOLwhat a funny thing. Sorry. it's called Influence.like Thailand did to khmer too. Can u start telling me when the land has no border? What about the wooden temples? I remember in Sukhothai period some of temples made by stone.Big influence from Khmer empire. But wooden temples are absolutely not.Can u tell me more why the architectures especially Wat or Temple are not so good as Thai did.Can u tell me why there r 44000 temples in Thailand?

@dianthusboy I think u got confused. Ur mum is Khmer. believe me. Do u really know where Thailand is located? I think no. Thai pp and Cambodian ppl are different. Thailand is a mixed culture with multi racial community since long time. Cambodian ppl pure blood. So most Thai people r not black as u think. Don't try to show off ur ignorant cuz even Greek-Roman u still don't know what is it. I think u r cambodian or japanese wanna be. If u start debating about the culture. Im sure i'll win.

@dianthusboy About 50 years ago Thais created Padthai noodle. It is now one of the most popular inter food. Then the Chineses come to claim that they started making noodle say 4000 years ago. They were the first noodle maker. What is the point? What is so useful and so special apart from historian veiwpoint? Do they want the Thais to stop cooking Padthai?

You have seen only less than 1% of jigsaw of the whole picture but the historians (the French in this case) made up another 99% and tell you it's fact.
