Long version of Texas Flood by stevie ray vaughn ! Texas Flood is an electric blues album by blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band Double Trouble, released in 1983.
Although "Texas Flood" has three verses of lyrics, the song is more of a prolonged guitar solo, allowing Vaughan to show off his characteristic electric blues style. During live shows, he would often play portions of this song behind his back, arousing an enthusiastic crowd response. Stylistically, "Texas Flood" is structured around the common three chord blues progression. Written and performed in the key of G (sounding F# because of Vaughan's tuning), it is in 12/8 time, or compound time[1], which gives it a "slow burning" feel that is common in Texas blues.

  • Its flooding in Texas right now! (In Austin) ;)

  • @MathCelebritydotcom I hear ya man. I thought I was a good guitarist until I heard this song. After hearing it, I was so blown away that I packed up my guitars and locked them in storage. About a year ago, I pulled them back out and started playing again. Saw this video and promptly returned them to storage. Lol! I mean, what's the point? I'll just upgrade my stereo and listen to Stevie play instead.

  • @BeBopDeluxe85 I thinks Stevie Vai said he tried playing Stevie's guitar once and could barely eek out a note due to the heavy strings.

  • They don't play music like this any more. At 38 I'm not just an old fogey. Today's music ain't got the same soul. You only get one of these guys per generation. The last generation had Jimi. We got Stevie.

  • @LynnaRenae 4 days ago in dallas =)

  • If you like SRV, please check my music out on my channel! I am a young blues rock player, and I'm just trying to get my music out there!

Please at least give it a chance!

  • this is music at its best now and forever

  • How can anyone really really say SRV was not the best guitar player of all time?

I've seen Jimi, BB King, SRV, Albert Collins, John Lee Hooker, Santana, Savoy Brown, Fleet Wood Mack of the sixties and seventies and many other blues greats...Stevie was the best ever, hands down!!!!!!!!!!!

    Peace

  • The best ever - period end of sentence! Love Jimi - Stevie was better!

  • The Best there is, The Best there was. The Best there ever will be. FACT.

  • @buster3600 It was a helicopter not a plane.
