  • @BeAILsTaR13 thanks man, I will add you as a friend

  • @BeAILsTaR13 ok, is it safe to run the amp if its under 58 volts coming out? cause I tested some songs and they were only at 20-30 volts coming out of the amp, so I used bass boost on the deck and brought it up to about 58 volts, it was crazy loud too, is it alright to use bass boost on the deck? I have bass boost on the amp all the way down, does clipping sound like a suction cup coming off a window, kinda like a pop?

  • @dereileak Also keep in mind of your voltage, if your pulling too much power and your voltage can't handle it your apt to clip even more and damage your amplifier(s). Also that amp rating you have is your amp at about 65-75% effeciency and at a full 14.4 volts maybe even 16 depending on what they clamp it at, so odds are your not seeing that much power from that amp after voltage drop and final impedance rise

  • @dereileak well your better off doing it by your ear than with a DMM but one thing you want to remember is you want your input voltage on the amp (gain) the same as your preout voltage on your HU so if your HU has a preput voltage of 2 and so on, but with doing it by ear if it sounds like shut back off, clipping = distortion, which can damage both subs and amps..

  • @BeAILsTaR13 lol, that would be really small, Btw I cant seem to find any videos of clipping, of how it sounds, I set my gain a using a DMM so it doesnt clip, but it deosnt seem real loud, and if I go up a bit more it gets really loud, does that damage the amp as long as its not clipping but over the power of what it says it will do, I have it set to 58 volts, and (58*58)/ 2 ohms = 1682, what my kicker is equal to in watts

  • @dereileak oh haha i took it as 3.7cubes total
