For those posting the negative comments on this video- swimming is great for toning muscles, especially after injury. The handlers are not hauling the horse around the pool, they are there for horse's safety meaning keeping it away from the edges where hooves might strike the wall as horse swims powerfully. At no point does this horse look unhappy or frightened, and I doubt anyone would put their horse in freezing cold water. That horse was most likely rubbed down and blanketed immediately.

Is it okayy to put horses in a pool when it's cold outside..? So you can bathe it also..? I'm just wondering because the people are wearing coats/jackets and hats so I'm assuming its cold.

Isn't it 1 lap is equivalent to 30 mins of riding and 2 is an hour and so on???? Cuz that is what it's like with the pool at my friends! (:

@TheMissedjaguar PEOPLES! You don't know what you're talking about. Therapeutic swimming is really awesome for horses to build muscles and / or recuperate from injuries. The guy pulling the rope on the inside is doing so to help the horse so it won't crash into the outer wall and hurt itself because their turning ability in water is quite bad.

For those users who believe this is abuse. Explain to me how. Go on. Inbox me or reply to this comment. This horse is obviously cared and loved for, it would not be put in this pool and then chucked back into a paddock. It is loved. The owners have gone to to expense to do this with their horse, so they would make sure their horse was warm after. This pool may well be heated aswell. ;)

Actually, now that I really look at it, everyone's just wearing windbreakers, and the people watching are wearing sweaters and scarves. It looks awfully windy too. So it was probably a windy day.
