CHOMP!! CHOMP!!

THIS IS A SHORT VID OF MY BABY SAVANNAH MONITOR EATING A RAT PINKIE... he has a huge sad story ...as well.. i got him at a reptile show... most of them there were dying and just sicking to look at.. all wild caught animals from differnt countries. i saved this little guy... they had him in a bag not even on display.... feces all over him and he looked so scared. so i took him home with me.

almost 3 months later now he is the sweetest little guy.. and has gained almost al of his weight back...
he eats 15 large crickets, 4 pinkie rats, and maybe a fish or two for dinner...thats in one day!!!.. he is only 18 inches long.
we got to do something about this... its cruel to do this to animals... take them from the wild. horrible... and they are sold in poor health to people who dont eve know anything about them!!
just sad.. they have to suffer...

hee hee... not that souless lol....

i get atleast 5 animals or more a year that are sick and or injured.... its really sad. most is from people beating them or just not caring....

i got a snake that someone tried to strangle with a fishing line..took it a year before i could release her and her babies..(she was pregnate then) it was very sad how people treat animals.. only if we could stop it.

my little guy wouldnt feed for a while.. but he loves ppinkies...and fish.... they make great stimulants when trying to get them to feed

and dusted large crickets and roaches.

repticzone can give you alot of pointers

even though they can be alittle mean haha

Great job. He is very healthy looking. He is truly a lucky one. I know your situation...I have saved 2 Ornate Nile Monitors, Both babies, And both almost dead, they got to about 4ft in total length and very healthy and then i donated them to the local pet store that specializes in reptiles and is very trustworthy. Great Job and I am picking up 2 baby Savv's tomorrow. Keep up the Humanitarian Duties.

Yeah, it always brings me joy to see him eating every day when I go to feed him and he'll eat almost anything now. He is so healthy now. When he gets to be six feet long I will enjoy telling the story of how he was a little skeletal lizzie. I enjoy telling it now. He wouldn't be alive right now if he hadn't received constant care. He is a wonderful little buddy and I am lucky to have him in my life. It does suck the way they are treated, but sadly I do not think it will end. :(
