Meaning:
Having completely destroyed all the dross of mind and having made an effort to implant pure and unsullied feelings, one can see the whole universe filled with the Supreme Being Brahman through the vision of knowledge.
Good thoughts alone would lead to good action. What is the meaning of good action? A good action is that which would please God. Whatever you do, you should always have the feeling that you are doing God's work. Further, you should never forget to dedicate your actions to God. He who in this manner always lovingly offers all his actions to God would get only good thoughts and feelings; evil thoughts and feelings would never enter his Mind. All worldly activities must be inspired by noble feelings emanating from the Heart. Cultivate noble feelings, seek the Divine, and realise that the Divine transcends all attributes.
What is Divinity? Who is God? The Love that is immanent in all beings is God. Love is God, and this Love is inherent in every being. Man should give expression to the Love latent in him in the same way God gives expression to His Love and shares it with all. Love is most adorable, beautiful, infinite and beyond all measure. Pure and unselfish Love must be treated as an aspect of the Divine. It cannot be commanded or demanded, or purchased or acquired through raw physical might. You cannot hire it or obtain it on lease. No one can lend Love or borrow Love. Love is immanent and infinite. Love between beings cannot be like a business transaction, as people often tend to imagine. Pure Love can be attained only through Pure Love. Love should be the basis of life. Today, no one thinks of true, Selfless Love. People seek all kinds of specialised education, positions of authority and power. All this is a complete waste of time and an exercise in futility. Actions become meaningful only when they are born of good thoughts and rooted firmly in Pure Love
Maanasika Soucham (Purity of the mind): This calls for total elimination of attachments and
aversions from the mind. Hatred and envy should have no place. One should cultivate the largeheartedness to return good for evil and not to cause pain to anyone in any circumstance. This is a mark of a pure mind. Today people are filled with hatred and envy. They cannot bear to see others happy or prosperous. This is a sign of a polluted mind. Men with evil minds develop demoniac traits. To be truly human, one has to have a pure, unsullied mind. He has to recognize that the same divinity is present in everyone. He should realise that the pure spirit that dwells in him and the power that animates him are present equally in every human being. One who is conscious of this unity will have an untrammelled mind.
Realisation of the Divine is the goal. But most of our actions are related to worldly concerns. The only way to sanctify all actions is to do them as acts of worship, as an offering to the Divine. Thereby life itself becomes sacred.
You must shed the feeling of "mine" and "thine." You have to realise the Truth that "the Divine dwells in every human being" (Eko vaasi Sarva bhootha antharaatma). You must develop this sense of oneness and share it with others
