After the rather stuffy White Box Labs, it's time to get some fresh air in Washington, D.C. Though this mission is rather easy and highly scripted, it's still one of my favorite missions in this game. Because of that (and because I had to edit a lot of parts together in the previous video), I decided to record this entire mission in one go after a bit of practice. I think it turned out well!

It's been mentioned by many other people already, but Sam's hacking of the camera controls was done ridiculously fast. Breaks immersion every time, but whatever.

If you haven't completed the Effective Interrogation P.E.C. Challenge yet, the interrogation in this level provides a perfect opportunity to easily complete it.

By the way, I tried my best to avoid getting detected in this level, but it's really difficult (and kind of random) on the Realistic difficulty. You might have better luck with a lower difficulty.

Yet again, there's another nifty detail that I spotted while watching that I originally missed while playing. This one is very difficult to notice while playing since you're focused on the chase, but the boxes that fall over and block Sam's path come from a forklift with a recently murdered driver. I always thought that particular obstacle was really odd, but now I understand how it came to be.

If you don't want to, you don't have to take out the cops. It's fairly easy to just slip by them and continue the chase, but I just wanted to show off some unarmed takedowns (which are uncommon since Sam is almost always armed throughout the game).

Towards the end of the mission, you are told to take cover in the cafe. This is one of the only instances in the game where I recommend that you do not follow the game's instructions. The cafe (particularly its second floor) is indeed safe, but you have to eliminate all the operatives converging on your location. Unfortunately, you can't just wait it out until your escort arrives, so you're best off hiding outside until you can rid of each wave of enemies. Your starting pistol has a mere two Mark & Execute slots, but you can quickly pick up a pistol with three slots from one of the first two enemies. It's not necessary (as you'll see), but it can be helpful.
