So I gashed my foot pretty badly. It took me a while to think of exactly what to do because I got really light-headed from the bleeding. I put cayenne pepper on it and it actually did stop the bleeding. However, since I was alone, I had to go to the other room to get a shirt that would wrap around my foot to keep the cayenne on and to keep pressure around my foot. So once I stepped on my heel to move, blood started pushing its way out and the cayenne went with it. That's why there's a little more blood in one area of the last pictures than in the video at the end (I took the video first, its just not in order). But cayenne did actually stop the bleeding. It doesn't look like it in the video, because you can still see the blood on my foot, but you should have seen it before that, there was a steady stream dripping from my foot before I put cayenne on, and once it was on, not one drop came out until I stepped on my heel.

Anyway, thank you cayenne pepper

  • In retrospect, this was A TERRIBLE idea for a video lol

  • Holy Fuck.....the cut didnt even look that bad considering how much blood there was. With that much blood I expected your leg to be cut off at the hip

  • @samherb1 Haha, I hit a nice big vein, gravity did the rest. The piece of glass was still in my foot while I took this. The nurse didn't even see it and so she ended up stitching over it. It popped out 3 months later. Crazy stuff

  • i cut my foot on glas las tnight and am too woozy to look at the blood or your video

but cayenne worked? im keeping mine elevated but when i move, like i went downstairs ate, came back upa nd it started to bleed (probably from me hopping)

but if cayenne works i will do that when i redress it tonight

  • Yeah, cayenne works well. You can also drink cayenne by putting some in a little bit of water and it should stop the bleeding. But you can just put it on directly, too. Also, make sure you don't have any glass still in your foot. Up until yesterday, I was walking around for 2 and a half months with a huge piece of glass in my foot that doctors in the emergency room stitched over top of, not seeing or looking for it inside my foot. I had to pull it out yesterday

  • y was there blood on almost every thing in the house????

  • I started in the living room, went to the kitchen, got the cayenne, then went to the next room to get a long-sleeved shirt. I should add that I live alone so I had to do all of this myself, otherwise I'd have stayed in place and let someone else do it.

  • @Keck

My brother stepped on a 2 inch nail in our backyard when he was like 4. It does bleed a lot. I remember my dad picking him up and running to the bathroom while the blood was dripping like crazy along that short way. I bet u'r carefull now where u put your feet if not wearing any shoes lol Yikes... I cannot believe the pipece of glass remained inyour foot geeezzzz man!

  • wow it's like you had a bucket of blood and just flung it around hah

  • No wonder you were light headed you bled all over the whole house. I cut the underside of my big toe pretty bad and put cayenne (100,000 HU) on it. I kept the cayenne on and put a band-aid on. Left it for a couple days. It healed up nice in a week or so. Next time I might wash the cayenne off after a day or so as when I moved my toe it kept feeling warm. Not really painful, just hot from the pepper. :D

  • Hey man, I cut my ear and thought back to this video. This cayenne really does work! My ear stopped bleeding very fast and without any pain at all as soon as I sprinkled it all over the blood that was starting to drip down my ear. I am now hoping it can heal itself without the need of stitches. Thanks for putting this video up! People need to know this information during emergencies.

  • he couldnt find the camera or the computer to look up what to put on his foot lol
