Ex teen addict tells about how her prescription to adderall turned her on to other drugs and eventually a cocaine habit. To learn more about adderall as a gateway drug visit http://www.drughelpdesk.com/education
Using adderall was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. When I has 15 I took my first one and fell in love with it. Flash forward two years and I was taking 120 mgs a day. Once I found out that it was basically meth in a pill I ended up making the next worst decision, I started using meth. I was on that shit for five years before I got clean and it almost killed me. Speaking as someone that has done both meth and adderall I can say that they are almost the same.
@cyphr6 I wouldn't bluntly define any substance as being "addictive," but rather some as having a high potential for becoming addictive to your average individual. That said, some individuals have a high potential for becoming addicted to things as well.
I wouldn't discredit any addiction as "just being psychological," addiction has never been defined by any medical organization as only being a phyical dependency on something. Both physical and psychological addictions can be very serious.
@cyphr6 Most people won't experience withdrawal symptoms after casually taking any drug. That doesn't mean that it isn't possible for one to become addicted to said drug, it just means that most individuals won't be.
I took morphine regularly for months and never experienced any withdrawal symptoms because when I stopped, does my experience alone prove that opiates can't be addictive to at least *some*?
@Alf90100 By the way, just because you like to do something doesn't mean you're addicted to it. If you don't experience any sort of withdrawal symptoms after you stop using something, then you aren't addicted to it. I've used adderall for recreational purposes MANY times, and never felt later that it was something I "needed" or anything of the sort. Some people have addictive personalities and they can become addicted to many things, but that doesn't mean that the substance itself is addictive.
@Alf90100 Perhaps if you're a weak-minded neanderthal. In my honest opinion, this video is nothing more than a cry for attention and an attempt to find something to blame your problems on...
