I never knew, I wonder how that is, but when i found out it was as if she died that day, yes she did drop off the radar but she was and is one of our QUEENS, a pioneer as you say,
I am not to prod to say I cried, and I mourned. it was early this morning I found out.
Gods rest her soul. as I did for Louisa Marks my house will be filled with her love and vibe. for which I that her for and I shall celebrate her life.

For someone who only has a handfull of her songs and never seen her live i was so emotional when i heard this awefull news.What a voice and what a loss.For a fitting tribute to jean we all should start supporting what is our british ,beautifull music which is still so undervalued! god bless you jean and you family and friends.

RIP Jean so sorry to hear of her death. I grew up with her music watching my sisters getting ready for raving on friday + saturday night. Beautiful music, I hope she was not too depressed. Sympathy out to the family

When we all moved away from roots and lovers rock to a more hard and uncaring music which is todays R&B and Rap we moved away from something that was very precious. To me Jean is a great loss to us all and I will miss her dearly. I call on all black people to reject R&B and rap and let us keep in our hearts Jean's wonderful legacy of real black music. May god rest her gentle soul for the paradise her music gave me and real genuine lovers of black music.
