My name is David and I am sorry to have to inform anyone watching this that today ( March 14, 2009), Millard died. I am his grandson and was there in his last moments. A great screenwriter, a great novelist, and a great man died today. Like the Marine he was, he fought courageously to the very end. To all his fans, Millard continued to read his fan mail until the very end and your thoughts meant a lot to him. Thank you all...

I am praying for your family. I am familiar with his work an have enjoyed all of his contributions. Thank the family for sharing this talent wth the world. My 97 year old grandpa died on 20th Feb, so I know your feelings.
