Is it better to do medical testing on criminals who committed horrible crimes than on innocent animals like chimps, monkeys, and apes?

  • This sounds strangely similar to a certain Dr. Mengele. You have certainly heard of him?

And what about Barry Beach? Is his life worth more than that of a monkey? He was considered to be guilty for almost 30 years...

  • In my opinion, The medical testing shouldn't be tested on anyone -- criminals, animals or whoever. This video makes me think that is it possible to remove the medical testing. If it is not, are there the other ways to test on something else or about volunteer?

  • Since criminals, especially killers had done so bad to victims and their families, they could be medical targets if it was indeed their own choice. They might want to do something good to payback the society to make their life meaningful.

  • I don't think that medical testing on criminals it's a good idea either (only if this is their's free will) .Those things must be only by free-choice. No one should be abused or forсed in this entire world.

  • Juan Ude: I think that criminals should be in prison not for punishment purposes, but for reinsertion and educational purposes (also knowing that prisons does not work good in these affairs, but this is other topic)

  • Juan Ude: In my opinion every living being should have the same rights, regardless of what they have done.I´m against the death penalty, and I think that testing with medicines could be worse than killing these people. I would prefer to try these medicines in volunteers that have terminal illness.

  • I agree. Criminals should have no rights, and animals should not have to endure this torture.

  • In my opinion, it is better to do medical testing on criminals who committed horrible crimes than on innocent animals if criminals agree with that. It might be useful for the medical research.

  • I think that would be a good idea so long as it does not go against the Bill of Rights, or Constitution. If it would be an experiment that is considered "cruel, or unusual punishment", then I would say no; otherwise, sure, why not.
