Hmm...when i play it at home to the orig. song it goes in Fm-G#-Cm...so i don't understand that. I play it exactly ase you but only 3 steps up, sorry my english! ;-)

That`s exactly what happens, you can play the same song in other chords as long as you keep untouched the mathematical relation between them, if you play it the way you do in Eb, then the chords are the one you are playing, but if you play it in C (the way I do, and most everyone can sing it) the chords are the one I play, exactly the same but three half tones below Fm, Ab (which is the same than G# in a guitar) Cm, ...

make them lower 3 half steps and you`ve got Dm, F, Am etc...

i'm sorry to say this, but youre playing the song in a wrong key...The right key is Fm-G#-Cm

You don`t have to be sorry but you are wrong.. this is rod stewart version, here the whole song is played 3 half tone below, so the chords are Dm - F - Am, beside is better for playing it on guitar, unless you use a capo to play, anyway it is too high for a common tenor voice to play it in Eb.

@ahlf36 Try listen to Rod Stewart's most recent performance of Young Turks. He himself sings it at lower keys. It's hard to sing in the original key as you get older.
