Skier triggering small slab on Titus Ridge, ID. March 16,2009.
Third day of storm that dropped 13" of new snow accompanied by strong winds (24-hour average of over 25mph.). One of a dozen similar slabs we triggered that day, all involving 1-2 feet of new snow and wind drifted snow. Several were much larger, and several were triggered remotely, like this one. Many slopes less than ~35* cracked but did not run.
