CNN is trying to make amends for their hack job of a discrimination panel when talking ~about~ their panel on discrimination. Much better, but the Reverend and what he says is a joke. Originally from http://onegoodmove.org/1gm/1gmarchive/2007/02/atheism_1.html

  • *yawn* This panel is discriminatory. If CNN hate atheists, and followers of other religions so much they might as well get a room with the KKK and the Neo-Nazis.

  • @SuperSam424 Keep going. I love when people make the most ridiculous, laughable shit as they go along...

  • Jesus, the black guy's ignorance is blinding. Further worsened by his insistent nagging "America is a Christian nation" ... "where do atheists get their morals from?" People like that make me feel that we need another Hitchens.

  • lol Rachel Maddow with hair

  • @dolerbom OK. I concede you can celebrate Christmas any way you want. I'm Catholic, and I admit that the Catholic Church has brought its own problems on itself. I think any priest who molests a child should be put against a wall and shot. What bothers me about atheism is when a guy like Richard Dawkins calls the Virgin Mary

a "cosmic doormat" and the Immaculate Conception "a disgusting concept". He insults many people's deepest beliefs for no good reason and causes deep hatred.

  • @burkewhb you must have deleted your other reply to me but, we can celebrate whatever we want. We mostly just put another holiday on the same date as Christmas i guess... We do not do what you do on Christmas, but we celebrate it our own way because we mostly made our own holiday. Also the U.S was not founded by Christians. We had separation of church and state in our constitution for a reason. Christmas used to be like the holiday you are talking about, but now it is not.

  • religous people do not have morals and they dont not refrain from doing bad things because of love for god they refrain from doing bad things because they are scared. they think if they do bad things then their imaginary friend will send them to burn in hell for all eternity. how is that morals? its not morals its just fear. when an athiest refrains from doing a bad thing it is only morals because they have nothing to fear

  • @burkewhb

    u mad?

  • @9N8X Drop dead, you insolent scum!

  • @burkewhb

Not sure if trolling or just really stupid.

  • @9N8X Christmas is from the old English, "Christ's Mass", and it is indeed a Christian

holiday. It falls on Dec. 25th, because the Feast of the Annunciation (the conception of

Jesus in Mary) is Mar. 25th. The Christian holiday happens to fall very close to the Roman celebration of the Winter Solstice (the birth of the sun when it is the furthest

south during the year, usually around Dec. 21st, the shortest day of the year). No pagan religion ever celebrated Christ's birth.
