I said in one of my comments that it was my personal opinion that the movie sucked. It was my opinion that it was garbage, which is why I walked out on it, but I don't need to put "i thought" before everything because it's obvious that it's me that thinks that. Also, it is no secret that Peter Jackson likes to draw out his movies. Everyone knows it, some people don't care, some do. But, it is a well known thing. King Kong is another good example... it was even more drawn out that LOTR.

(continued) you "walked out on that shit because it was garbage." okay, what? are we all completely wrong for being genuinely moved by a story that we found compelling? absolutely fucking not. but then youre not wrong for hating it. Take a movie that you think is great, you can easily find people who could sit and tell you they think it's awful, but youre not wrong for seeing the good in whatever that movie is, so don't tell us we're wrong for what we see in Lotr, or anything else

(continued) else feel like they're wrong or incorrect for enjoying what you thought was "fluff." I'm not going to accuse you of not watching the movies, because you obviously have, but don't accuse me or anyone else of being "incorrect" for loving the movies. It's perfectly fine for you to say you thought the movies were grabage, thats fine, you don't have to like them, but that's not what you said. There's a difference between saying you "thought" it was awful, and downright saying...

I actually quite enjoy those overhead shots, coupled with the music I think it adds moments to the film that are emotionally palpable as well as display what they endured to reach their stolen friends. I don't feel that the helicopter shots draw out or ruin the plots whatsoever. That's my opinion, and your's is that they do ruin or draw out the plot and are unnecessary, and my point is that there's nothing wrong with you thinking that they're useless, but don't think that you can make anyone

Perhaps you should stick to watching movies from the 80s onward. You reminded me of this kid I worked with at Blockbuster who wanted to be a filmmaker. The only problem was he only liked Action films and comedies and even then he didn't like them unless they were made after 1990.

Oh, okay. They did cut out a lot of stuff. LOTR 3 would have been 250min if they hadn't cut out all the stuff that you can find in the extended edition. Yeah, it was still long, fine.
