Violence, especially against women is still a reality. Do you have the tools to protect yourself?
Sorry for the delay on this one. Some stuff came up. Not much as far as crazy video effects on this one, I just wanted to put it out there quickly.

  • Also, during a real aggression with a knife, the attacker is not gonna stop after the first blow to let you perform your lock. He's gonna retreat the hand wielding the knife to immediately stab again, probably from a different angle. So it's not that simple.

  • Thanks for watching. I agree with you. Really, I'm just demonstrating some locks, not necessarily the best reaction to a situation. These are just traditional applications that look good for the camera. I know knife fighting is not that simple as attacks come in combos, and that you do have to stun the body before you can lock it. These were just meant to be more for the visual element. Hope that makes sense.

  • @miki5xD It is none of your business. I go my own way.

  • @wonc That's what it is, a mere stereotype. It does not mean anything and anyone with half a brain knows that. Unless you can cure the humanity of "stupid" or create another stereotype that "beats" this one, you're pretty much stuck with it. =/

Now, fighting for different laws and fair treatment is a whole different story. Don't get commercials and stereotypes mixed into that because they tend to be ridiculous, so how do you expect the beat them with your arguments? (presuming they're reasonable)

  • @miki5xD Just shut up and do nothing about promoting gender stereotype won't resolve gender issue. You may say that I can't help it, but I won't remain silent. You are trying to refrain yourself speaking against this problem, but I won't. I and Men's rights movement will keep fighiting until the society talks about true equality.

  • @wonc

I didn't say they CAN'T or shouldn't. >.> Did you even read what I wrote? It is a matter of advertising. Majority of women are physically weak and majority of rapists are men. Commercials appeal to the majority, they don't reflect everything and everyone. This does not mean I think men can't be victims or shouldn't defend against a female thug, I never said that.

  • @miki5xD Sorry, I won't agree with ya about that. So man or woman can't beat a female thug in self defense, because they are simply woman, heh? LADY, if you were a male and in same situation I do, YOU ARE NOT GONNA SAY THAT.

  • @wonc

I hope you don't let it get to you, because in the end it is how commercials work. If it's an advertisement for a cleaning product it is a housewife presenting it,hence the stereotype the girls belong in the kitchen. If you present something that appeals to the majority, you sell more. Not to mention a teacher who claims he can teach a frail woman how to beat up a rapist, is going to be considered a better teacher then the one who says he can teach a guy beat up a huge girl. It's majority

  • @miki5xD well I apologize you for mistaken you as a male, because it is hard to find someone's gender on the web. However, I want to martial arts schools stop playing gender stereotype. Whenever I see martial arts magazines and instruction books, females gotta face male opponents most of the time, hence reinforcing the idea that males are always preying on women and therefore taken down seriously.

  • @wonc I have heard of females getting out of jail time easier, but I also heard of some ending up in jail. The trial depends on the perception of the witnesses and the court. It is general knowledge that females tend to be weaker, hence the stereotype and male inability to often prove innocence and necessity for self defense. But the written law clearly states what self defense is, therefore you can't say you have no rights at all.

I'm a female myself, not a sir btw.
