Nobody is saying that animal rights is more important than human needs. Both are important.
It's good that many people advocate to help alleviate human suffering in all forms.
It's also good that some people want to help animals.
If I had one second to make a decision, I would sacrifice myself. All life to me is sacred and I couldn't live with myself if I chose.
P.S. If God didn't want me to help dogs then he wouldn't have given me empathy for them to such a strong degree.

I am Puerto Rican and I want to know what that Hell is wrong with us in Puerto Rico. We weren’t like that before. We need a strong government probably a dictator to put this bastard in place. Well Mexican is even worse so this is not just Puerto Rico. It is like a disease spreading in the world.

@jodieleemills What a compassionate, giving soul you are! GOD is watching over us and carefully examining those who show mercy and kindness for animals. Dogs especially are put on this planet as a test of character for people. People who are oppertunists dont like dogs. People who are humane, kind and compassionate love dogs for dogs are the most loving beings alive! Hope you continue spreading the good word of rescue dogs. They rock!

my animals are all saved. i am paying a mortgage off on my own and feeding 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 chooks. my partner helps feed me when needed and he is paying off his own mortgage. they are our like our kids and will always be put before ourselves as they depend on us. we will be starting a family soon and our animals will never any worse off! god bless you guys for saving a creature that relies on us. if only there were more of yous.

@super8brit ,the reason i am posting my hatred now,is because i dont make it my life to sit in front of a computer all day long and this is the first time i have seen this video.as far as school is concerned i graduated in 1976.

@majorferret you dont need to say more. I dont know why you are posting against something I said more than a year ago. But thats cool, perhaps after August school will be back in session and you will have less time to go after 1 year posts. Otherwise, if you hate humans that much, go live in the wild with the animals.

@super8brit ,sorry,but i would save an animal over a human anytime,humans are greedy,cruel ,selfish,stupid,wasteful etc.etc.need i say more?

@super8brit I would chose a dog over the man.
I could care less. THe man has lived for long.
THe dog would have not lived his life
that is wonderful!! she seems so happy!! how is she now? and did they take the leg so she could move more freely, and without dragging foot?? AS long as she is safe and happy, thats best

Yes, the dog's leg was amputated and she is in much better shape. She was taken in by one of the rescuers and is doing good. She has some incontinence issues due to nerve damage but the person who took her in is ok with that and loves her.

If you live on the mainland USA, there are several rescue organizations that get these sweet dogs from Puerto Rico. I know that the following rescue places have them: Northeast Animal Shelter and SPCA of Monroe, CT.
I adopted one of these dogs and she is a GREAT dog with a wonderful disposition.
