After Selkirk and a quick stop in Amsterdam, we decided that we wanted to go see some Amtrak @ High Speed, here we are around MP 135 and also near Hamilton Ave Crossing

  • Those trains are permitted to go at 110 mph through those RR crossings. The 2nd vid looks like 110 mph. I took the LSL five days ago and the conductor said they could do 110 mph through these RR crossings.

  • Love this footage, these trains pass by my house but not this fast, awesome!

  • @Nexis4Jersey hornage?

  • Alex,

Nice captures! I haven't seen much footage from the high speed territory south of Rensselaer (MP 124-141). I need to get over to the other side of the state and capture some myself! Great job!

  • I see you caught the striped P32.

  • @Metrarailboy1 Zero mph if your Empire Service is stopped by the police like mine was outside Rochester a couple weeks ago... armed robber on the loose by the tracks and the cops shut the entire mainline down while they sent the bloodhounds out for the guy. That was a first for me!
